Scanlations: Lavender Scanlations | jb2448.info

Thanks to petermueller88 for debinding and scanning this and thanks to MonMonCandie for the donation that was used for getting this magazine. We’ve been sitting on these RAWs for quite a while and were originally aiming to scanlate all of it. However, the cleaning process was long, complicated and troublesome and Lavender Scanlations got part 1 done before us. We then decided to share our English translation of part 2 with them to speed things up.

While we will not release our unfinished The Mt. Silver Training scanlations, I would still like to thank all the Team Special Scans members who put a lot of work into the unfinished scanlations:

  • ReiZerou (non-debound RAW provider) – We didn’t end up using ReiZerou’s RAW once we got the debound RAW.
  • Duke R (cleaner) – The Mt. Silver Training part 1 was the last chapter he cleaned, so a big shoutout to him.

jb2448.info is in dire need of one or several MySQL experts to survive

As you might have noticed our partner site for online Pokémon manga reading and downloading, jb2448.info – which is owned by a Team Special Scans staff member – has not seen any updates since the beginning of this year. The reason for that is because the site has been plagued with many MySQL errors that have prevented uploading and even editing album descriptions. The situation is so bad that we are considering something called Project Armageddon, which is basically to delete the whole site and rebuild it from scratch. This will take quite a while and over 28 000 comments will be lost. (Don’t worry about translations posted in comments, we will copy those to text documents). This is unless someone knowledgeable in MySQL is able to fix the site. Once the site is functional again we have backlog of scans to release. A lot of the scans are RAWs of Pokémon manga that has only been published in magazines before, so that is something to look forward to. If you want to help out you can e-mail the webmaster here. We will wait until November 1st. If no progress has been made by then we will initiate Project Armageddon.

Those of you who have tumblr blogs, please consider reblogging this tumblr post and we might find someone who can fix the MySQL errors so that we won’t have to do this.

Hey there! This is nicoleb (or GingerIceCube, depending on which site I’m on). I supply scans over at JB’s Gallery and occasionally help with translation stuff (I’m hoping to get more active around that area, but real life’s been a real douche). These are the scans from the 50th volume, full-color booklet from Pocket Monsters Special. I scanned it a while ago, but it took a while to get things in order. Feel free to link, share, translate, etc., but please give credit. I bought two copies because I wanted one to keep and one to take apart for the purposes of a clean scan.

I’d like to heartily thank MangaReaderX for all his help in bringing me back into the scanslation community, giving me info and help, websites to upload on, and setting everything up neatly for this post (I’d have had no clue what to do without help, LOL). I’d also like to thank my mum for debinding the book for me, far better than I ever could. Who knew her interest in scrapbooking would actually come in handy? ;D
